Strategy in Action: Leading the 2020 NCPH Roadmap

As the Head of Policy Implementation at the National Center for Public Health, my role has always been to turn high-level research into real-world results. In our 2020 strategic assembly, I laid out the blueprint for how we would bridge the gap between our laboratories and our citizens.

The Mission: Real-World Results

I presented the 2019 outcomes for the Policy Implementation Coordination Department, focusing on one core truth: data is useless if it doesn't change lives. * My Focus: Moving from "writing policies" to "executing programs" in rural aimags.

  • The Goal: Ensuring the results from our Nutrition and Toxicology labs actually reached the families who needed them most.

Governance & Integrity

Beyond the science, I worked closely with our legal and HR teams to update our internal regulations. My goal was to build an organization where every health professional is protected by the law and empowered by a transparent system.

"Our work isn't finished when the report is written—it’s finished when the policy becomes a reality for a health worker in a remote soum."Dr. Sengee Gantuya

Quick Stats from Dr. Gantuya’s Report:

  • Department: Policy Implementation Coordination.

  • Key Milestone: Standardizing internal M&E (Monitoring & Evaluation) for national health programs.

  • Current Impact: This management experience now drives MHHRDA’s ability to handle complex international tenders and the 2024 Public Health Law.
